Veil is an independent Mac app created by Madhu GB. It uses head motion from AirPods to blur your screen when you turn away. Look back and the screen clears.

What you need

The screen shield, head gestures, and head-following pet require AirPods with head tracking and macOS 14 or later. Connect your AirPods, allow motion access, then face your screen and arm Veil. It tracks head movement, not your eyes, and does not use a camera.

More than a screen shield

Use a head gesture to open an app or run a Shortcut, or add a cat or dog that follows your head from the notch. Optional walk-away locking uses AirPods walking detection. iPhone proximity through Veil Pocket is coming soon.

Processed on your Mac

Veil processes your head motion on your Mac and does not upload it. You choose which features to enable and can pause them at any time.
